2010 kayaking trip

Postby joeywahl4 » Tue Dec 01, 2009 2:02 am

I have questions and am looking for help and ideas to assist me in planning my 2010 summer kayaking trip. Me and a couple buddies have went on numerous camping and hiking adventures but never up to the boundary waters area and I was curious if anyone had any good advice as to where to go or start a 7-9 day kayaking/hiking/camping trip. If possible I would really appreciate phone numbers to help me out in contacting people. The plan is to hike half a day and kayak half a day than camp at night wake up and do it all over. Like I said earlier the plan is for a week out roughing it and enjoying what Nature has to offer. We would like to see the new forestry growing after the wild fires of '07 as well as still standing forest. If anyone can help please do. Thank You!!

When you say "hike half a day and kayak half a day", are you thinking of a base camp from where you can hike, return, and then go kayaking? Or, are you wanting to portage your kayaks and gear along a long hike?
